AD Painter’s Toolbox

AD Painters Toolbox - Photoshop natural media brushes

This is a huge pack of brushes (more than 100 tool presets!) that emulates real media in a fascinating way! That means you’ll find a lot of different oils, including canvas textures, some grungy, some pretty smooth, bristles, blenders, splatters, a group of useful pencils, some gouaches, expressive brushes and all with a natural feel and sensitive to the pencil pressure and direction!

Here’s the Reference Sheet for version 1.1:

This illo was painted mostly with the brush called ’05. AD Flat Dry Texture – Canvas 126px’:

Requirements

Most of this brushes & presets were created in Photoshop CC 2014 using a Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet.
Tested also in Photoshop CS6 with a Wacom Graphire 4 and a Cintiq Companion Hybrid.

RECOMMENDED SETUP: Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC to CC 2015.5) plus a Wacom tablet.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Photoshop CS5 + Wacom tablet, but… with this setup do not expect to use the brushes in the exactly same way I created them. Photoshop CS6 is fine for this brushes.

Take note that the Wacom Graphire and Bamboo models has less pressure levels and the absence of some options (Eg.: there’s no TILT option for brushes).

What the purchase includes?

DO NOT expect a Photoshop Panel! This is a set of Tool Presets (mainly brushes).

The Painter’s Toolbox Brushes ZIP file (51,3 Mb. – 147 Brushes) includes:

  1. AD_Painters_Toolbox_v1.1.tpl (58,5 Mb.) This is the main file with 109 brushes.
  2. AD_Splatters.tpl (36,7 Mb.) The 38 Splatter Brushes.
  3. Some Help images and the Reference Sheets (PDF)
  4. A TXT file with the License of use for a Single User (Please, read it!)

Awesome brushes as always. Hopefully there will be a visual panel like the Artbox2 brushes. Other than that. Amazing. 🙂

    • Dukal says:

Thanks Pete. You’re right, the Tool Presets Panel isn’t the best thing, in the other hand Tool Presets are more powerful talking about configuration possibilities and variety.
I’m working -really slowly- in a new and different Panel to solve this issues (in some way), it requires a lot of work so actually it’s just a kind of sketch.

Is there anyway I can purchase this with my credit card? I don’t have paypal. Thank you. They looks awesome 🙂

    • Dukal says:

Hi Nhung, you could use a credit card with Paypal (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) and you could open an account for free, it’s pretty easy. Thank you for the interest!

      • Nhung says:

I created a paypal account but it said that I can’t add my credit card because my customer service bank didn’t approve the transcition 🙁 (my location is in Vietnam). I’ve been able to purchase at gumroad, creativemarket, is there any way else I can purchase it? Before the gifty brushes no longer free? 🙁

Hola Dukal. ¿Hay alguna opción de tener un archivo con una previsualizacion de los pinceles para ver los efectos? He comprado el paquete y he echado en falta un pdf con los mismos.

    • Dukal says:

Javi, hace 2 o 3 días actualicé esta página incluyendo un PDF de referencia para este paquete de pinceles. Aquí arriba esta el enlace. Saludos.

  4. Janet Garcia says:

is the Painter’s Toolbox different (has different brushes) than the AD Artbox?

    • Dukal says:

Hi Janet, as the description says:
“Do NOT expect a Photoshop Panel! This is a set of Tool Presets (mainly brushes)”
So, AD Artbox has just a relative small selection of different tools (mainly brushes) and The Painter’s Toolbox is a set of very unique brushes that emulates oils, acrylics, gouaches, etc., actually 109 brushes plus 38 Splatter Brushes (that are also included in The Aquarellist brushes and in The Cartoonist Brushes).

I am going to buy your big Ad Painter’s ToolBox this Friday. I know it has oils. . . does it have a few WaterColor Brushes?…Also, I am also VERY interested in your Ad ImpastoShop. In fact, it is the main thing that is making me buy your set over others.

    When will that become available?
